Why Alberta hauls are their own discipline: loads over 8.5 ft wide need Alberta permits, and seasonal weight limits apply (Alberta runs a formal Seasonal Axle Weight Program: frozen winter ground earns higher allowable weights, and spring thaw brings road bans that cut axle limits on posted roads until conditions recover. Current restrictions publish on the province's road bans service, and overweight permits follow them.). Alberta oversize rules.

1 · Your pallets

What do you need??LTL (Less Than Truckload) = you pay for the space your pallets use, sharing the trailer. FTL (Full Truckload) = the whole 53ft trailer is yours, best for 10+ pallets or urgent freight.

Measurement unit? Most pallets are measured in inches (standard is 48 x 40 in). Switch to feet if that's how you measured.

L (in)?Length of the loaded pallet, front to back. A standard pallet is 48 inches long.

W (in)?Width of the loaded pallet. A standard pallet is 40 inches wide.

H (in)?Height from the floor to the top of the cargo, pallet included.

Lbs?Total weight including the cargo on it.

Stackable??Can other freight be safely stacked on top? Non-stackable pallets take more trailer space, which raises the rate slightly.

Value of the shipment *?What would it cost to replace this cargo today? Your declared value sets your protection options and prints into your agreement.

Trailer preference?Leave on Auto and we choose by your freight's height: under 8ft tall rides in a dry van; taller loads go on a flatbed. Final equipment is confirmed with dispatch after booking.

HAZMAT / dangerous goods??Batteries, chemicals, fuels, aerosols and similar regulated goods. Requires a certified carrier and shipping papers with UN number + hazard class.

Over 8.5ft wide or 5,000 lbs per unit? That ships as Heavy Haul, use the Heavy Equipment tab.
