The engine classifies your cargo from its dimensions. Here is what each mode means.
20 ft, 40 ft or 40 ft high cube, loaded at your door or at the yard; priced per container.
Smaller loads under 8 ft tall share a box and bill by the cubic metre with a one-cubic-metre minimum.
Self-propelled machines and vehicles drive on; out-of-gauge pieces ride flat racks or open tops; breakbulk is crane-loaded.

ISO standard interior figures; a given line's box can differ by a few centimetres. Ocean rates vary by lane and sailing date: your quote carries the engine's classification and the desk's confirmed rate, never an advertised number.
