API v1 ยท Changelog

API changelog

Every change to the LoadLoom API and webhooks, newest first. Within v1, changes are additive only: new fields and endpoints may appear here, but existing ones never change meaning or disappear. Build with confidence; the OpenAPI spec is the machine-readable contract.

The MCP server: AI agents can quote, prepare and track

  • New: the LoadLoom MCP server at /api/mcp (docs at /developers/mcp). Connect any MCP-capable assistant with your own API key: tools for quotes, booking preparation, tracking, and (for verified brokers) load posting and request lists. The checkout link an agent prepares is opened by the human; signatures and payment stay human acts on loadloom.com, by design.
  • Agent-originated quotes and bookings are marked, so support can tell the pipelines apart.
  • API Agreement clarification: an application includes an AI agent; the key holder remains responsible for its agents.

OpenAPI spec + this changelog

  • Published the machine-readable OpenAPI 3.1 spec at /developers/api/openapi.json (generate SDKs from it; it documents only the public v1 surface).
  • This changelog page: every API-facing change lands here, dated, from now on.

Broker endpoints, webhook events, test mode, idempotency, request IDs

  • New: GET/POST /api/v1/broker/loads and GET /api/v1/broker/requests for verified brokers (desk rules apply identically, including the geographic authority wall).
  • New webhook events: broker_load.requested, broker_load.assigned, broker_load.completed.
  • Test mode: ll_test_ keys: same host, test objects only; quotes priced by the real engine but never bookable; fixtures LL-TEST-0001 for bookings and tracking; livemode:false on test objects.
  • Idempotency: send Idempotency-Key on POSTs; identical retries replay the stored response for 24 hours; a different body under the same key returns 400 idempotency_error.
  • Every /api/v1/* response now carries X-Request-Id; quote it to developers@loadloom.com and we can find the exact call.
  • Quote responses may include a co2 object: a GLEC-aligned emissions estimate (informational; see /co2-methodology).

Webhooks

  • Account webhooks: register HTTPS endpoints, events tracking.updated and shipment.delivered, HMAC-SHA256 signatures (sha256= prefix), retries with backoff, pause after twenty consecutive failures.

The full API

  • Bookings (checkout-link handoff + list/retrieve), tracking, carrier loads and settlements, promo assets, referral summary, blog drafts (admin keys).
  • One shared auth path for every endpoint; carrier keys and account keys strictly separated.

v1 launch

  • API keys (shown once, stored hashed, revocable) and POST /api/v1/quotes: the same pricing engine as loadloom.com, quotes price-locked 30 days.
  • The versioning promise: within v1, changes are additive only; anything breaking becomes /api/v2 with both running side by side.

Questions about a change: developers@loadloom.com ยท Governed by the API and Webhooks Agreement.
