1. WHO THIS COVERS. This Addendum supplements the LoadLoom
network agreement you accepted at signup and governs members
admitted in the labor class: crews and individuals who perform
loading, unloading, packing, unpacking, cleaning, furniture
assembly, and specialty-item handling (pianos, safes, pool
tables, hot tubs, gym equipment) without supplying a transport
vehicle. If you also operate a vehicle for hire, the carrier
terms govern that work separately.
2. INDEPENDENT BUSINESS STATUS. You are an independent business,
not an employee, worker, or agent of ShipVista Corporation or
LoadLoom. You decide which posted jobs to accept, you may
decline any job without penalty, you control the manner and
means of performing accepted work within the customer's booked
scope, you may work for anyone else at any time, and you supply
your own tools, dollies, straps, and protective equipment.
Nothing here creates employment, partnership, or joint venture
in any jurisdiction of Canada or the United States. You are
responsible for your own income taxes, CPP/EI or self-employment
taxes, GST/HST registration where applicable, and, where the law
of your province or state assigns it to independent operators,
your own workers' compensation or occupational coverage (WSIB,
WorkSafeBC, state equivalents).
3. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS. Admission requires: a certificate of
insurance acceptable to LoadLoom (never waived); any licence,
certification, or safety credential that the law of your working
territory requires for the services you list (and you warrant
you hold them while listed); and document approval by LoadLoom.
Approval gates job access; it is not an endorsement of your
business to any third party.
4. JOBS, PAYOUTS, AND THE JOB BANK. LoadLoom prices every
customer job and posts crew work to the job bank with the payout
stated. A posting states its payout either as a FLAT amount (the
complete pay for the posted scope) or as an HOURLY rate (paid on
hours actually worked, as recorded by the platform's work clock
and the signed records of section 10), and may state its own rate
for customer-approved additional hours; where no separate rate is
stated, additional approved hours carry the posting's stated
terms. Customer prices are LoadLoom's own; the payout is not a
percentage entitlement and is not calculated from what any
customer paid. Accepting a job is accepting its posted payout
basis and scope, which do not change after acceptance.
5. BOOKED HOURS AND THE PAUSE RULE. Every job states its booked
hours. When booked hours end and the work is not finished, you
pause. More time may be requested through the platform with a
reason the customer will read; work resumes only after the
customer approves the additional time with a signed
authorization. Time worked past booked hours without an approval
on record is not billable to the customer and, except as section
6 provides, not payable to you, so pause and request: it takes a
minute.
6. HOURS WORKED ARE HOURS PAID. If you worked past booked hours
because LoadLoom failed to deliver the pause notification to you
after the customer declined, or the platform recorded your
request and told you to continue in error, LoadLoom pays you for
that time at your posted rate. The customer is never billed
unapproved time. This section never applies to time worked after
you received a pause or decline notice.
7. COMPLETION, APPROVAL, AND PAYMENT. Payment is owed for work
completed and confirmed through the platform's completion flow
for the job. Settlements follow the network's standard
settlement process and timelines, to the payout details you keep
on your payment page (bank, e-transfer, or cheque, as offered
there). Approved additional hours are paid with the same
settlement. You may invoice through the platform only; side
settlement with a LoadLoom customer for LoadLoom-booked work is
a removable offence.
8. NO SOLICITATION OF PLATFORM CUSTOMERS. For work originating
on LoadLoom, you will not solicit or accept off-platform
engagements from that customer for the same move or for twelve
months after it, except with LoadLoom's written consent. Your
own customers from your own channels remain entirely yours.
9. CONDUCT, CARE, AND SAFETY. You will perform listed services
with trade-standard care, keep crew counts you committed to,
follow building and site rules, and handle declared specialty
items only when your listing includes that capability. You will
not drive, tow, or operate a customer's or LoadLoom's vehicle
under this Addendum. Damage you cause is your responsibility and
your insurer's; LoadLoom's cargo-protection program covers the
customer per its own terms and may subrogate.
10. RECORDS AND DISPUTES. The platform's records (booked hours,
signed approvals with their timestamps, completion confirmations,
messages) are the record of the engagement for both of us.
Disputes follow the dispute terms of the network agreement you
accepted, under the law of your domicile province or state as
stated there.
11. SCREENING CONSENT. You consent to identity verification and
to background screening appropriate to the services you list,
performed through a compliant consumer-reporting provider under
the FCRA (United States) or applicable provincial law (Canada),
at admission and periodically while active. You will receive
any legally required disclosures and, before any adverse
decision based on a report, the notice and copy the law
requires. Screening results are used for platform admission
decisions only and assessed individually, consistent with
human-rights and fair-chance laws.
12. ELIGIBILITY. Every person performing work on a LoadLoom job
must be at least 18 years old and legally entitled to work in
the country where the job is performed.
13. YOUR HELPERS. As an independent business you may staff jobs
with your own crew members. Everyone you bring is yours: your
responsibility, covered by your insurance, bound by this
Addendum's conduct, privacy, and safety terms through you, and
counted toward the crew size the job states. You will not send
someone in your place who has not met section 11 and 12 through
your business.
14. CUSTOMER PRIVACY. Customer names, addresses, phone numbers,
access codes, and the contents of their homes are confidential.
Use them only to perform the job, never retain or share them
afterward, and never photograph a customer's home or goods
except as the platform's condition-documentation flow requests.
15. CONDUCT AND ZERO TOLERANCE. You and your helpers will treat
customers and their property with respect and perform work free
of impairment. Harassment, discrimination, violence or threats,
theft, working under the influence of alcohol or impairing
substances, and dishonesty in platform records are
zero-tolerance offences: immediate removal, with law-enforcement
referral where warranted.
16. SHOWING UP. Accepting a job is a commitment to the stated
date and arrival window. Cancel through the platform as early as
you can if you cannot perform; repeated late cancellations or a
no-show without cause are removable offences, because a family
sitting in an empty home is the one harm this network exists to
prevent.
17. CUSTOMER-ENDED JOBS. If the customer dismisses you from the
job or the property before the booked hours end, stop work
calmly, report it through the platform immediately, and leave;
never argue on site. Where the dismissal is without crew fault,
you are paid the FULL BOOKED HOURS of that job: the customer
bought those hours and your crew reserved the day. Where the
dismissal follows a documented breach by your crew (sections 9,
14, 15), payment follows the platform's investigation. Support
handles the customer; you never do.
18. SAFETY STOP-WORK RIGHT. You may pause or refuse work that is
genuinely unsafe (structural hazards, threats, conditions beyond
your equipment) without penalty: report it through the platform
immediately and dispatch resolves it with the customer. Hours
worked before a good-faith safety stop are paid per section 7.
19. TAXES AND REPORTING. You will provide the tax documentation
the law requires for your payouts (IRS Form W-9 and 1099
reporting in the United States; T4A or equivalent reporting in
Canada), and keep it current on your payment page.
20. DEACTIVATION AND APPEAL. LoadLoom may pause or remove
platform access for documented breach of this Addendum, failed
or lapsed credentials, or safety concerns. Except for
zero-tolerance offences, you will be told the reason and given
an opportunity to respond, and earned amounts for completed and
confirmed work are paid per section 7 regardless of
deactivation.
21. CHANGES AND VERSIONS. LoadLoom may update this Addendum
prospectively; continued acceptance of new jobs after notice is
acceptance of the current version. The version you accepted and
when is recorded on your account.
